A Believer's Response

Genesis 18:23 AMP "And Abraham came close and said, Will You destroy the righteous (those upright and in right standing with God) together with the wicked?"
We can not yield our rights and our faith during an economic downturn. What the devil means for evil, God directs for our good. It is obvious that  there will be judgment on the materialistic systems of man.  At the same time, God will provide for and teach his children.  We are not under his judgment,  Jesus took our judgment on the cross. To the degree that we are free from mammon's control, we will be clear from the outworking of God's wrath on materialism.
We must resist the fatalistic ideas that our ministries and families are controlled by the economy. Wall Street is not lord. The White House is not our provider or our solution. How then do we respond?
We who follow the leadership of Jesus should see this as a time to live what the scripture teaches. This is a time to get our houses in order. We should pay off our debts, live generously and rest in the fact that He is Jehovah-Jireh. We must yield our fears to the only answer and hope of our lives...Jesus Christ the righteous.
