Isaiah 64:4 NIV "Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him."
Too often I want to see before I believe. That is human, backwards thinking. The lesson of scripture is that we believe before we see. Waiting is not inactivity. Biblical waiting is quieting your heart, watching and confessing God's word and ways over your life. Waiting is saturating your mind and mouth with God's word. Refocusing on the One whose thoughts are above your thoughts and ways are above your ways changes you even if it never changes your circumstances.
