You Need IT

It = community.

Proverbs 18:1 HCSB One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound judgment.

For those tens of readers who know me, you know that I read the Proverb chapter of the day as part of my daily devotional time. This first verse of the 18th chapter always fires me up for community. It is not good for humanity to live alone. Our Father lives in the richest, deepest community imaginable with the Son & Holy Spirit. We are created in His image and invited to have community with Him and His church.
Fallen, hurt humanity wants to isolate themselves from sources of hurt (and healing) and ends up selfish and self centered. Group life is difficult; however, it is only in community that your faith is proven real.
One of the largest cost of this transition to Columbus / Xerox is connecting to a new network of believers. I know we will connect. It just takes time.
What's your favorite small group story?
