Nice Post for October 18, 2008

  • Seth Godin on leadership: "It's enough if the tribe you lead knows about you and cares about you and wants to follow you. It's enough if your leadership changes things, galvanizes the audience and puts the status quo under stress. And it's enough if the leadership you provide makes a difference." Read the whole post here.
  • Missed Catalyst? Several bloggers created summaries of the speakers' talks from Catalyst 08, Together. Todd Rhoades, from Monday Morning Insight, compiled a nice list of links - read the summaries to see what you missed! Or to remember what you forgot. If these aren't enough, you can purchase the CDs from the conference here. Check out the list here.
  • Ever think out loud? When Mark Batterson does it sounds like this: "In the same sense, as a pastor, I want to set up God encounters. I'm obviously not suggesting we can or try to man-u-facture anything. But I need to be more intentional about helping people create spiritual memories "
  • "The oil of God flows freely to those who make a conscious decision to stop mourning over what God has rejected, fill up, and get moving." Steven Furtick is convinced of this truth. Do yourself a favor and read this post.
