A Nice Post for National Day of Prayer

Shawn Lovejoy posted this for the National Day of Prayer:

"Here's the promise God made: "...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV). Do you think we need any healing in our families, communities, nation, and world? God has told us how to get it! God's also pretty clear in Scripture about our need, not just to pray alone, but to come together and pray! If you can't get together to pray with other people today, AT LEAST stop right now and pray! Pray for our:

  • Jerusalem: Our neighborhood and community: Marriages, children, our schools, our church.
  • Judea: Our metropolitan cities and regions: Our public safety officials, state government, educational leaders, etc, and for our West Forsyth Campus of MLC.
  • Samaria: Our nation: Our President, our government leaders, our economy, our military personnel, etc.
  • Ends of the earth: Our world: Poverty, Hunger, Aids, Conflict, and the 67% of the world that doesn't know Jesus!

Let's all pray today. Lake City and your part of the world will be better off.
