Make some room

Growth doesn't just have to plan for it. Let me say it again: If you are a leader you must plan for growth. Too many leaders think "I can be a good person and hang up a shingle and growth will happen". NOT! Both organizational and personal growth need a plan. Pastor L.A. has always taught us: "Plan your work and work your plan". In the O.T. God had the prophet Elisha instruct the widow to make room for growth.
2 Kings 4:3 ESV Then he said, "Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few.
Where do you want to grow? At CHC we really want to be used of God to reach our community. So what did we do? We added 40 seats to the sanctuary and set up an overflow room with 75 extra seats. Do you have a plan for personal growth? Make some room for personal growth. Plan to read 12 books this year. Memorize one Bible verse a week. Listen to a podcast or two every week.
On both the organizational and the personal levels, I'm making room for growth. What are you doing to make room for growth?
